Mee Kuen Chong, 67, known to her friends as Deborah, was reported missing from her home in Wembley, north London, on June 11.
A woman is accused of beheading Mee Kuen Chong, 67, and transporting her body from London to Devon to be dumped in a “nasty and violent murder,” a court reported.

On Tuesday, Mitchell appeared before Judge Mark Lucraft QC at the Old Bailey via video link from Bronzefield Prison.
She spoke only to confirm her name and her date of birth.
The court heard that Mitchell was charged with carrying out a particularly violent murder in which the victim was beheaded and her body was transported 250 miles to the Devon area where it was finally found.
Judge Lucraft set a guilty plea hearing for September 28 and ordered the defendant’s pretrial detention.

Ms. Chong was originally from Malaysia and had lived at Wembley for over 30 years.
Her death was initially treated as inexplicable in the investigation led by the Devon and Cornwall police.
Last Tuesday, investigations by the force in South Devon and the London area led to the Met’s crime command launching a murder investigation.
Her family has been updated on the new development and is supported by trained officers.
