McDonald’s drink Wiki
McDonald’s drink Wiki Biography
You may have seen the McDonald’s drink-sized TikTok video. It has gone viral and claims to show you that every cup size in the fast food chain contains the same amount of liquid. However, a lot of people in the comment thread don’t buy it, and fact-checking sites say it’s all a gimmick.
McDonalds drink glasses are actually different sizes, reveals Snopes.com.
The video was first shared on TikTok by @ mykah.mykah. “They’re lying to us, #fyp #fup #foryoupage #mcdonalds,” says the caption in the video. “Guys, I’ve discovered something,” the legend also says. The worker in the video appears to be pouring liquid into different sized glasses.
However, is it true? Do McDonald’s drinks have the same amount of liquid regardless of the size of the cup? The video has been viewed 1.6 million times and has accumulated 12,500 comments. McDonalds has not commented on the TikTok video.
A Major Newspaper Argues That It’s Just a ‘Trick’
USA Today wrote a story arguing that it was just a “trick.”
Fact-checking site Snopes.com agreed, writing: “This is a joke that uses a clever trick: the medium and large glasses were pre-filled with liquid, without the viewer knowing, to make it look like they were.” .
Snopes concluded that small, medium, and large McDonald’s cups are actually different sizes.
Others Performed the Same Trick Before
Snopes noted that others have performed the stunt before the TikTok user. The man in the video above admits that there was some liquid in the other glasses.
This guy put the claim to the test.
These are some of the comments below the video. The comment thread was full of many naysayers and people who said they were aware of how it was done. The comments also focused on the price of the drinks. Either way, the TikTok user sparked a great conversation.
“That’s what happens when you fill each of the cups a little and then pour more.”
“People who think there was already coke in the cups” (this comment followed the comment with a series of clown emojis).
“I worked at McDonalds and this is true, always say there is no ice or ice on the side (in another cup) and only order small, NEVER medium.”
“It doesn’t matter, it’s still $ 1.”
“Those 2 glasses are already full.”
“Yes, show the bottom of the cup, you won’t.”
“You could at least make it less obvious that you filled the glasses 😊”.
“Small is 16 oz, medium is 21 oz, and large is 32 oz, but nice try.”
“McDonalds will come for you now … RUN!”
“What if you put a little glue in the bottom of each cup? Or maybe ice. ”
“The mugs are only a dollar each, even if you don’t know what you’re trying to say.”
“They all have the same price anyway.”
“The diameter of the cups is wider, so the proportions seem the same, but in fact they are not.”
