Marcelo Almanzar Biography Marcelo Almanzar Wiki
Marcelo Almanzar, who was in the car with Offset, was arrested and charged with carrying a hidden and loaded weapon in public
Rapper Offset was accused of pointing a gun at people attending a Trump rally in Beverly Hills on Saturday and then live-streamed himself being detained by police and handcuffed.
Ultimately, however, the LAPD “confessed to getting the wrong guy.”
“There have been reports from the media that the artist Offset was arrested,” the BHPD said in a statement. “Those reports are inaccurate.”
“I’m a fucking celebrity, do you know who I am?” The rapper can be heard telling police on the live stream, according to the Daily Mail.
“I’m Migos Offset,” he insisted, referring to his hip-hop trio.
“You told me to raise my hands. I’m not going to do that. There are 25,000 people on my live stream, “he said of the Instagram audience watching.
“They are going to sue you publicly.”

One of the policemen, who has a drawn pistol, can be heard telling Offset that he was responding to reports that he had been “brandishing weapons at people” while driving through the area.
The rapper responded that Trump supporters had started it, hitting his car with a flag.
Viewer videos also show the rapper’s wife, Cardi B, at the scene, though it was unclear if she had been in a separate car.
Offset, 28, remains in his car, and when one of the officers tries to reach out the window and open the door from the inside, the rapper yelled again.
“You can not do that!” he protested, according to the Daily Mail account.
“It’s not legal! I’m going to sue you to hell. Do you know who I am? He demands again.
The live performance was abruptly cut short after the cop manages to open the door and Offset exits.
Another video from the scene shows Offset in handcuffs as a crowd of people, at least one of them holding a Trump flag, watch with their cell phones pointed at the action.
Offset was not ultimately arrested; instead, a 20-year-old named Marcelo Almanzar was eventually charged with carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm in public, the BHPD said.
Support of the President Donald Trump
Offset was arrested and released by Beverly Hills police on Saturday night after participating in a rally in support of President Donald Trump.
In a statement, the BHPD confirmed the arrest of a 20-year-old, Marcelo Almanzar, accused of carrying a concealed weapon and a loaded gun in public. Bail for Almanzar, who shares a last name with Offset’s wife, Cardi B, and is his cousin, according to TMZ, has been set at $ 35,000.
“Media reported Entertainer Offset has been arrested,” the statement read. “These reports are inaccurate.”
Police say a passerby saw Almanzar “point a gun at him from a vehicle.” However, they did not press charges.
Offset, née Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was arrested while recording the dispute with the police on Instagram Live. The video, widely shared on social media, shows Offset arguing with several police officers and being dragged out of his car after refusing to get out of his vehicle at the request of the police.
“Artist and philanthropist Offset was arrested by the Beverly Hills Police Department following an attack by aggressive Trump supporters,” an Offset representative said in a statement to PEOPLE. “He was released shortly after. Offset thanks his fans for their support and wishes everyone peace and safety in these difficult times. He encourages everyone to go out and vote because nothing changes if nothing changes. ”
On Offset’s Instagram Live, an off-camera officer asks rapper Migos why he doesn’t get out of the vehicle. The rapper responds: “Because you have weapons.”
“It’s my choice,” says the officer in the video.
“I’m not going to take my hands off the wheel,” responds Offset.
Another group of agents, caught in front of the camera, asks the rapper to leave the vehicle.
“We have been told that he is brandishing weapons,” said a policeman.
“I’m a celebrity. Do you know who I am? The rapper responds.” They transfer me from Migos. They are fans, so they follow me, brother. ”
“It has nothing to do with why we are here,” the policewoman explains in the clip. “We have been told that he is moving weapons.”
Offset then says that someone “hit my car with a flag.” Soon after, a male officer is caught pulling rapper “Clout” from the vehicle.
Several eyewitnesses filmed Offset being released by the police.
The previous Saturday, 28-year-old Cardi B had recorded a Trump rally in Beverly Hills and said she was “scared.”
“I really have a feeling that we are going to take a leap,” she said on her Instagram story. It does not appear that Cardi B was in the vehicle with Offset at the time of her arrest.
News of Offset’s arrest comes more than a week after Cardi B announced that the rapper couple had come back after their divorce in September.
