Madalyn Davis Age
Madalyn Davis was 21 years old.
After her sudden and tragic death, Davis’ family shared how devastated they were, with her grandfather Arthur Davis telling The Sun:
It is hell on earth for us. We are absolutely devastated. This is the second death in our family involving a child. We are absolutely heartbroken, heartbroken, and his mother can’t manage anything. There is nothing more tragic for our family, but sadly tragedies happen every day somewhere. She was a beautiful and charming girl who had her whole life ahead of her.
Her mother, Rebecca Smith, shared how difficult it had been to see online trolls taunting her daughter and posting negative comments. She wrote on Instagram: “My daughter was not obsessed with herself, she was a wonderful and beautiful person who made a mistake. How can you write those things? She has a little sister and a brother who are reading this, ”reported News.com.au.
Cause of death
Davis was at a house party the night before she died and decided to go to a popular spot to take selfies to watch the sunrise along with seven other people, The Sun reported. The native of Lincoln, UK, jumped a fence atop a cliff in Diamond Bay in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, hurtling over the edge to her death. One of her companions shouted: “He’s gone,” the outlet reported.
During the hearing, Clow said that traces of alcohol and drugs “affected Ms. Davis’s ability to make decisions and maintain balance,” The Sun wrote. “There is no safe way to consume alcohol and drugs, her death was in a beautiful place that people seek to enjoy, it will certainly not be the last,” continued Clow. “It was a great tragedy that someone tried to live their life to the fullest.”
The toxicology report found that Davis had twice the UK legal alcohol limit for driving in her blood and had traces of amphetamines, cocaine, ketamine and MDMA in her system. She said the group of partiers went to “a selfie hotspot where people climb over the fence” to get to the top of the cliffs. While there, she said Davis and her friends drank vodka and that the group was “badly affected by drugs and alcohol,” according to the BBC’s report on the audience.
Davis had been traveling the area for a few months after leaving her job as a makeup artist. Before her trip to Sydney, Australia, she had visited Thailand and Bali, Indonesia, wrote The Sun. At the time of her death, she was sharing photos of her lifestyle and traveling with her 20,000 followers on Instagram.
