Luke Gowman Biography
Luke Gowman was fined $ 800 in Southport Magistrates Court Wednesday for jumping the fence at the Gold Coast theme park on February 10.
Security guards spotted Gowman hanging around the water park after scaling the fence around 9.40 p.m.
When staff couldn’t find him, sniffer dogs tracked him down in the seal enclosure.
Sgt. Nicole Conditsis told the court that Gowman told police that he “wanted to see the animals.”
Magistrate Gary Finger acknowledged that no damage was done to the park, but added that the fences are in place for a reason.
Gowman represented himself in court and pleaded guilty to one count of trespassing.

“To see the seals,” he replied.
When asked by reporters if it was worth it, he replied, “Not really.”
