Winston-Salem police said a man was killed and a 14-year-old boy was injured in a drive-by shooting Tuesday night.
It happened shortly after 6 p.m. on Leona street.
Police said Miguel Angel Fuentes Nava, 27, was taken to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle. He died shortly after his arrival.
Police said a 14-year-old boy was also shot while walking down the street. He had minor injuries and was released from the hospital. Investigators said the boy was an “unintended target” of the shooting.
Arrested
Police arrested two suspects after stopping a Nissan Rogue. Investigators said the suspects attempted to flee but were apprehended after a short chase.
Officers arrested Luis Enrique Arellano Salinas, 19, and a 17-year-old boy. Both have been charged with murder.
The 17-year-old’s name is not being released at this time due to his age.
