Who was Louis Watkiss ?
Louis Watkiss, of Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, died after being seriously injured at the SnowDome in Tamworth on Friday night, Staffordshire police said.
Police have named a 12-year-old boy who died in a terrible accident at an indoor ski and snowboard resort.
Posting a photograph of the young man, the force said in a statement: “ The police were called at 6.40 p.m. on September 24 to report that a child had been seriously injured at the SnowDome.
Officers attended the scene, along with ambulance teams.
Sadly, Louis died from his injuries shortly after.
Louis’s family is being supported by specially trained officers. We ask everyone to respect the family’s right to cry in private during this extremely difficult time.

The owners of the SnowDome described the tragedy as “almost unbelievable.” Today it remains closed while officials work with the police and security chiefs.
The company told customers on Sunday: ‘The SnowDome will be temporarily closed after the tragic death of a child on Friday night.
‘Directors and staff are deeply shocked by what happened, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this terrible time.
“The authorities are currently conducting an investigation and we are giving him our full cooperation.”
Witnesses claimed on social media that the tragedy occurred when Louis’s sleigh collided with a skier.

One parent wrote on Facebook: “My friend took his children up the slope and said the boy was sledding when he somehow collided with a skier halfway up the slope.
“Apparently he was very busy and full of children. The police were questioning all staff who appeared to be in shock. ‘
Another parent wrote on Twitter: ‘I was there, on the same journey that happened right behind me.
‘Horrible scenes, really heartbreaking. Devastated doesn’t do it justice. God knows how parents and family feel, besides partying with him.
“It’s so hard to imagine what the family is going through.”
Staffordshire Police said a man was also treated for injuries.
