Picker was arrested and charged with murder and will appear in Nottingham Magistrates Court this morning.
Nottinghamshire Police Detective Inspector Steve Wragg said: “This is a tragic incident in which a child lost his life.
Officers were initially called to a home on Main Road in Jacksdale, Notts., (Pictured) on Saturday, Aug. 7, after a child was reportedly seriously injured.
“We have been working hard to establish the circumstances around the child’s death and now we have charged a woman with murder.
‘We would like to assure the public that we believe the incident was isolated and contained within a home on Main Road and that we are now not looking for anyone else while our investigation continues.
‘Our thoughts are with the boy’s family, who have asked for privacy during this incredibly difficult time.
