Who was Layla Malon?
The Connecticut mother and her 7-year-old daughter, whose bodies were found in her mansion, died in an apparent homicide-suicide, the coroner’s office told the Post on Friday.
Tracy Do, 46, of Tony Westport, self-injured her trunk and limbs while little Layla Malon was drowning, the State Office of the Chief Coroner said.
Police are investigating the couple’s deaths in more detail.
According to court records, Do was embroiled in a bitter legal battle with her ex Eric John Malon over the luxury home.
According to court records, the former belligerent couple was due to appear Friday morning for a remote hearing on their legal saga.
Do, whose lifeless body was found in Westport’s estate of $ 1.8 million along with that of her daughter, sued Malon, the father of her children, in October for taxing them and the children on court documents. Supreme Court of Connecticut had guarded the house.
Malon responded with her lawsuit against Do in April.
In her lawsuit, Malon Do asked to vacate the premises of the spacious two-story home she owns between Lyndale Park and Weston Road, alleging that she had failed to pay him a $ 10,000 monthly rent.
In suing her separated from her, Do sues Malon for allegedly breaking her promise to buy him a house in the picturesque town and to take care of her financially from her if her relationship ever ends.
“Since the parties ended their romance, he has refused to keep his promises,” the lawsuit says.
Do also said in the complaint that she continued to work for Malon’s construction company after it disbanded in 2018, but that she did not adequately compensate them according to court documents.
The former couple had never been married, but had two children together: Layla and her daughter Alexis Malon, 13, according to court records.
