Two teenagers, including a 14-year-old, were charged with murder after a 15-year-old boy was killed in a gun and knife attack.
Keon Lincoln was attacked by a group of young men with guns in the Handsworth area of Birmingham on the afternoon of January 21.
West Midlands police said a 14-year-old boy from Birmingham and a 15-year-old boy from Walsall have been charged with Keon’s murder.
The force said the suspects have been taken into custody to appear in Birmingham Magistrates Court on Monday.
A week after Keon’s death, his mother and his twin sister joined dozens of supporters to lay flowers and offer prayers at the scene Thursday.

The schoolboy died at Birmingham Children’s Hospital after the attack by a group of up to six people.

“These charges are an important milestone in our investigation, but we continue to leave no stone unturned to obtain justice for Keon.
Our investigations are ongoing and we still need him to come forward and tell us what he knows. It could prove crucial in this investigation.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after the ambush around 3:30 pm on Thursday, January 21.
The suspects fled on foot after crashing a Ford hatchback into a house on a nearby highway, prompting a police chase.
Highly trained police officers joined paramedics in a battle to save his life at the scene before Keon was rushed to the hospital, but tragically died shortly after his arrival.

‘We are seeking public assistance to share any information that helps the police bring justice to Keon and the closure of his family.
“We once again thank you for his support and kindly ask us for privacy as we mourn this devastating loss.”
Chief Superintendent Steve Graham, Birmingham West Police Commander, said officers had not yet established a motive for the killing.
Speaking at West Midlands Police Headquarters, the officer said the 15-year-old victim had died at Birmingham Children’s Hospital despite the best efforts of the highly trained police officers and paramedics dispatched to the scene.
When asked what was known to have happened, Mr. Graham said: “We are not sure of all the details at this time, but we do know that Keon was attacked by this group and suffered a number of serious injuries.”
