Kemoy Royal Biography
Who is Kemoy Royal ?
Workers at a New York cafe on Sunday saved a kidnapped woman from an accused serial rapist after she sent a note through the delivery app GrubHub to call the police.
Employees at The Chipper Truck Cafe in Yonkers sensed something was amiss when they received a mixed order for an Irish breakfast bun and a beef patty at 5:50 a.m. m. of June 19.
“Please call the police. You’ll call me when you drop off, come with the cones. Please don’t make it obvious,” the note to the driver read.
Worried that someone was in trouble, the cafe workers called the owner and asked what they should do, according to Alicia Bermejo, 20, the owner’s daughter.
‘They were, like, is this a joke? So they called my dad and he said to call the police. Better safe than sorry,’ he said.
It was no joke, according to the criminal complaint against Kemoy Royal, 33, who was apparently on a s*xual rampage, allegedly kidnapping and s*xually assaulting two women in as many weeks.
Arrested and Charged
Royal is accused of meeting the women on dating apps and then luring them back to his apartment, where he holds them there with death threats and then forces them.
Cops responded to 3719 Pratt Avenue in the Bronx after the 911 call from the Yonkers cafe and found the 24-year-old victim being held against her will by Royal, police said.
She said they met on a dating app and went back to her apartment, but she didn’t feel comfortable and tried to leave.
That’s when Royal allegedly grabbed her around the neck and began to choke her, she said.
Kemoy Royal, 32, is accused of luring two women he met on dating apps to his Pratt Avenue home, where he allegedly held them against his will and s*xually assaulted them.

Only after the second victim was able to call for help through the GrubHub app was Royal arrested.
She begged him not to kill her, according to her complaint, and told him that she could rape her if she didn’t kill her.
He told her she was going to die if she didn’t do what she told him and held a knife to her throat, according to a criminal complaint. When she tried to call the police, he took the phone from her.
Only when she asked to order food did he allow him to retrieve her phone and he was able to send her cry for help to The Chipper Truck Cafe.
She told police that she thought she wanted to have s*x with him, according to Bronx prosecutors.
Royal was arrested around 6:30 a.m. when he opened the door for food delivery.
He was charged with 27 counts stemming from two s*xual assaults and kidnapping, including a top count of predatory rape and other crimes.
The accused rapist’s lawyer, Zaiim Pezhmon, could not be reached for comment.
After he was arrested on June 19, police discovered there was a second victim, a 26-year-old woman who also accused Royal of s*xual assault.
During that June 14 attack, she claimed during a date that she had to get something of her out of her apartment and once the woman was inside her, she wouldn’t let her out of her, prosecutors charge.
He attacked her, biting her chest until he drew blood from her, according to the criminal complaint. The victim saw knives all over her apartment, authorities said.
Victim
Royal drowned the victim and at one point put her private parts in her food.
Royal told police that she thought her victim was playing “cat and mouse” with him and that she forced her “because she thought she was being like women.”
He was also charged with attempted rape and s*xual assault in that case.
But the cafe workers are glad they helped catch him.
“Honestly, I’m glad he’s off the streets,” Bermejo said. ‘I’m terrified. I hope no one else is doing something like this, but it may just be wishful thinking.
On his LinkedIn page, Royal is pictured wearing a black-and-white bow tie and a suit that reads “The Art of War” by Sun Tzu.
