Keane Mulready-Woods was an Irish teenager who disappeared in January 2020, whose body was later dismembered in Drogheda, Co. Louth, the remains were found in Dublin, Ireland the following week. [1] She was reportedly involved in the robbery of convicted criminal Robbie Lawlor

Early life

He grew up in Drogheda and attended St Oliver’s Community College. [3] He was from a working-class family and was well liked. [3] He was a fan of motocross, had his own scrambler, and was described as the “best scrambler rider in Drogheda”.

Involvement in crime

He was tempted to commit petty crimes in his teens by local criminals with promises of wealth and prestige. His participation increased, as he was involved with one of the factions in the Drogheda dispute.

The faction began using gasoline pumps and tube bombs to threaten rival criminals and their families . He was also heavily involved in the illegal drug trade in the city and used intimidation to enforce debt collection.

Keane Mulready Woods was involved in this: In 2019 he broke the window of a woman whose son was in drug debt before throwing a gasoline bomb inside. He was also convicted of possessing a small amount of cannabis at around the same time.

Human remains found

On January 13, 2020, a local man found a gym bag with human remains at the intersection of Moatview Gardens and Moatview Drive in Coolock.  The bag had been thrown from a passing dark-colored car. The remains were found around 10 pm  The bag also contained flip-flops, which were taken as a warning not to cross Lawlor, whose flip-flops had been stolen in the robbery. [two]

Other human remains, believed to be a head and hands, were found in a burned car in Trinity Terrace, Drumcondra, in the early hours of Wednesday, January 15.


On the night of January 15, Gardaí confirmed that DNA tests had confirmed that the limbs found at Coolock were those of Keane Mulready-Woods [10]. On Friday, January 17, Gardaí confirmed that the partial remains found in the car had been identified as those of Keane Mulready-Woods.

Charges in relation to Mulready-Woods death

In October 2020, a 50-year-old man from Drogheda was charged with preventing the prosecution or arrest of another person in connection with the death of Keane Mulready-Woods. [22] The trial is scheduled to begin on January 17, 2022, due to a delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
