Who is Kayley Lee Ketley?

One of the women who was caught driving into the notorious Belanglo State Forest with an acquaintance stuffed in the trunk of her own car was charged with new charges for another incident.

Kayley Lee Ketley appeared in Campbelltown Local Court Wednesday charged with robbery while she was armed and injured with intent to cause serious bodily harm.

The 24-year-old is in custody on charges of stabbing Nisha Phillips, also 24, on February 3, putting her in the trunk of her own car and driving to six locations before being arrested on the way to the former makeshift cemetery in Ivan Milat.

On Tuesday, police filed two new charges in connection with an alleged incident in the early hours of Boxing Day 2020.

Detectives allege that Ketley threatened a man with a knife around 3.50 am on December 26 and demanded that he hand over the keys to his Holden Commodore ute.

She is also accused of wounding him with the weapon with the intention of causing serious bodily harm.

The two women spoke outside court before the Henderson and Ketley issues were briefly discussed.

Henderson’s attorney, Gazi Abbas, did not appear Wednesday after emailing the court a day earlier to explain that the police report was not in compliance and request a postponement until June 9.

The magistrate agreed to postpone the affairs of Ketley and Henderson.

Ketley’s new charges will be heard alongside the historic charges when she and Henderson appear in court on June 9.

Henderson’s mother waited outside the courtroom while Ketley’s matter was resolved, and the two women spoke together with the latter’s attorney.

The women walked off the court side by side, stopping to smoke a cigarette on the side of the road before leaving together.

At her next court appearance, Henderson will be approaching the 30th week of her pregnancy and will have really settled into her third trimester.

She revealed that she was pregnant at her first court appearance after her arrest on February 3.

Henderson was driving Phillips’ car when police pulled over her and Ketley after a truck driver reported seeing a hand protruding from a broken taillight of a car driving erratically on the Hume Highway around 11:30 a.m. February 3.

Both women claimed they were returning the white Holden Commodore to a rental company in Colo Vale, but the address on the satellite navigation device they were tracking actually led them to the Belanglo State Forest, according to police facts.


The state forest, halfway between Sydney and Canberra, was notoriously the site where the victims of the serial killer Ivan Milat were discovered.

In the trunk of the car, police found 24-year-old Nisha Phillips, and officers allege that a 12-inch kitchen knife was hidden under Ketley’s feet.

Police say they were alerted that something was wrong when a concerned trucker called 000 claiming that the car in front of him was driving erratically and that a hand appeared to be sticking out of a broken taillight.

Henderson’s mother defended her innocence out of court

They allege that Phillips had been stabbed at least seven times, twice in the legs and five times in her shoulder, and that Ketley and Henderson illegally detained her for 12 hours and took her to at least six separate locations while she was trapped in the trunk. .

Ketley did not request bail Wednesday after the magistrate formally rejected his statement just three weeks ago. At the time, his attorney promised to deposit his grandmother’s $ 4,000 life savings as collateral.

His co-defendant, Henderson, 18, will also remain behind bars until at least his next court appearance on June 9. He is 23 weeks pregnant.

Since his arrest, both women have remained in custody. But Henderson’s mother insists they are not guilty.

She grasped the hand of a little girl and was supported by her own mother, Henderson’s grandmother, as she made the defiant claim out of court.

“We don’t need to comment because they are not guilty,” she said. Henderson’s grandmother said at the time that they had nothing more to discuss on the matter.
