Katie Kenyon Wiki
Katie Kenyon Biography
Who is Katie Kenyon ?
Police are still searching woodland for any trace of missing mother Katie Kenyon – as it emerged she was targeted last year by someone who slashed her tyres.
Scores of officers are scouring the 3,000-acre Gisburn Forest in Ribble Valley today for any trace of her.
Neighbors have revealed the 33-year-old mother-of-two-who vanished after getting into a silver van on Friday-had her beloved white Ford Fiesta vandalized.
The incident – which Lancashire Police have been told about – happened in 2021 but was not reported at the time.
This now the fifth day Katie – who neighbors believed was a care worker – has been missing.
Police have released a picture of the silver transit she was last seen in on Todmorden Road in her hometown of Ella Burnley at 9.30am on Friday.
They are testing the vehicle after it was driven back to the spot later that day.
A 50-year-old man she knew and arrested on suspicion of kidnap is still being held and quizzed by detectives.
Paul Clough, 56, one of Katie’s neighbours, told MailOnline: ‘Someone slashed her tires a year ago or so.
His family also said he appears to have sent some items through a mailbox from a street address.
She has been missing since Friday 22nd April, and Lancashire Police are becoming increasingly concerned about her after she went missing ‘out of place’.
A friend of hers said: ‘She wouldn’t have done this, letting her children come home from school without her.’
Officers say they believe a woman matching Katie’s description got into the silver van with the man three days ago.
Katie’s sister Jenny posted online that Katie’s phone was no longer working, adding: ‘Samsung! He’s been out since 2pm yesterday.
I took their car to a house, fixed their things and they disappeared!
‘Very unusual and out of character for Katie. Nothing adds up and we are all worried about her and her whereabouts.
“She drives a white Fiesta, which was left at a house in Burnley on Todmorden Road with her belongings, it still doesn’t make sense.”
Katie has not been seen since and police have arrested a 50-year-old man from Burnley in connection with her disappearance.
Lancashire Police say the man is assisting with their investigation of him and asking the public for information.
Police say the vehicle, which had a registration MT57 FLC, was driven 17 miles into the countryside, near the town of Bolton by Bowland in the Ribble Valley.
Detective Chief Inspector Al Davies, from Lancashire Police’s main investigation team, said: “Katie’s disappearance is out of character and her family are understandably very concerned.”
“We are doing everything we can to try to find her and I would urge anyone who has any information, however insignificant she thinks it is, to come forward and contact us.”
“I would particularly like to hear from anyone who has been to or around Bolton by Bowland and seen something suspicious to get in touch with.
Did you see a woman matching Katie’s description, alone or with a man? Did you see the silver transit van or might you have dash cam footage showing it?
“While we have arrested someone in connection with our investigation, I am keeping an open mind about what happened and have a team of officers and staff working hard to try to find Katie and return her to her family.
“You could help with that, so please come and talk to us, as your information could be crucial.”
