Kathryn Mayorga Wiki
Kathryn Mayorga Biography
Who is Kathryn Mayorga ?
Kathryn Mayorga reported a rape allegation in the hours following her meeting with Ronaldo in Las Vegas during June 2009, the month that Real Madrid was fired with a world record of £ 80 million for his services.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United was met with a feminist outcry in the sky over Old Trafford.
An expectant and exhausted crowd chanted the 36-year-old’s name as he emerged from the tunnel ahead of a second debut for the club following Juventus’ £ 20 million move last month.
Shortly after the Portuguese star’s entry, a plane, organized by the feminist campaign group Level Up, circled Old Trafford for much of the first half.
The plane flew over the stadium with a banner reading “believe Kathryn Mayorga,” in reference to an ongoing civil case against Ronaldo in the United States.
How old is Kathryn Mayorga ?
She is 37 year old.
A criminal investigation ended in 2019, and the Las Vegas Police Department stated that the allegation could not “ be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. ”
Mayorga has a civil lawsuit worth £ 56 million which is ongoing. Ronaldo has vigorously denied the claims, calling them “fake news.”
Ronaldo seemed undaunted by the passionate outcry as he scored two goals in his comeback game, resulting in Manchester United’s 4-1 win over Newcastle.
Ronaldo agreed a £270,000 out of court settlement with Mayorga in 2010 after they met in Las Vegas the previous year
Mayorga, a former model, is claiming £ 56 million in damages, including £ 18 million for her past ‘pain and suffering’, £ 18 million for future ‘pain and suffering’ and another £ 18 million in punitive damages, court documents revealed in April.
The alleged rape was said to have taken place in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009 after the couple met the same night in the VIP area of the RAIN nightclub.
In 2018, Ronaldo said: ‘I firmly deny the allegations that are being leveled against me. Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything I am and what I believe in. ”
Level Up says his demonstration today was to highlight that “the football world remains silent on the claims while flattering Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United.”
“One of the most famous athletes in the world has been accused of rape, but there has been almost universal silence about it,” said Janey Starling, co-director of Level Up.
Manchester United have failed to acknowledge that there are unresolved rape allegations against Ronaldo and are giving him a hero’s welcome.
“As a society, we cannot allow a woman’s rape story to be silenced. It’s an uncomfortable reality that people don’t talk about ”.
Portuguese forward had been making his highly anticipated return to the club and seemed undeterred by the impassioned protest
The Portuguese star and his representatives agreed to a £ 270,000 out-of-court settlement with Mayorga in 2010, which included the insertion of a confidentiality agreement.
Mayorga has since said that she was “mentally incapacitated” when she signed the agreement. Ronaldo’s lawyers accepted that the agreement exists, but insisted that “it was in no way a plea of guilt.”
Starling added: ‘We stand in solidarity with Kathryn Mayorga and with every survivor of sexual violence around the world. We are sending a message of solidarity to all survivors who refuse to be silenced, and a message to football that rape allegations cannot be taken off the field. ”
