Who is Katherine Colabella?
A former porn star allegedly admitted to killing a pastor while driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol before fleeing the scene to visit a famous friend.
Katherine Colabella, 31, who called herself ‘Kitty Bella’ during her career in adult entertainment, was arrested in Miami Beach and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving serious bodily injury.
Authorities said that on the night of March 25, Colabella was driving down the MacArthur Road when she struck the Rev. Noé Aguilar as he was cycling home from work.
Instead of stopping to help the father of two injured, police say Colabella kept driving to the Continuum skyscraper, where she met with La Mar C. Taylor, the creative director of pop star The Weeknd.
Police on Friday released a video showing paramedics treating Aguilar at the scene of the accident. He was rushed to a hospital with a serious head injury and placed in a medically induced coma.
Another video showed Colabella explaining her version of her events to detectives the next day, after a valet at Continuum noticed the broken windshield and dented hood on her Mercedes Benz.

Colabella, of Cooper City, told detectives that she had been drinking before the accident and she left the scene because she panicked.
Continuum employees described Colabella as “looking like she was drunk,” according to the police report.
The valet who she noticed her car was damaged had called the police that night to have it towed from the premises.
Body camera footage showed Colabella stopping at the police station on March 26 to ask about her car.
Arrested and Charged

Colabella was arrested shortly after and charged with one count of leaving the scene of an accident involving serious bodily injury and one count of reckless driving with serious bodily injury.

She was released on a $ 7,500 bond. Court records show that a public defender representing Colabella pleaded not guilty on April 6. The trial hearing is scheduled for June 28.
The other video released by the police showed Aguilar’s broken bicycle and the paramedics who treated him at the scene.
Aguilar of the Pentecostal Church of God suffered a head injury that required brain surgery and was placed in a medically induced coma, members of his family reported.
They launched a Gofundme to help pay for the pastor’s medical bills.
“My father is normally a loving person who cares about his family,” his daughter Genesis told WSVN. ‘I just don’t like it, to me, that it hurts like that. It hurts me a lot that he is not here with us. My dad is a very special man to me because he is very affectionate. ‘
“It is a devastating situation for our family,” her son Chris also told the network. “It’s hard to see him in the situation he is in now: in that hospital bed.”
Aguilar finally woke up from his coma and was able to speak with the family, Local 10 reported, although he remains hospitalized.
