Kabary Salem Biography
Suspect Kabary Salem was indicted by a grand jury in Staten Island on November 5 for the murder of his 25-year-old daughter Ola Salem.
The NYPD Regional Fugitive Task Force located him Dec. 3 and returned him to New York on Friday.
Salem fled the United States shortly after a runner found his daughter’s body in Bloomingdale Park in Prince Bay in October 2019.
The fully clothed body was dragged about 30 feet through the forest and then covered in leaves.
Salem, 52, is a former professional middleweight boxer from Egypt, nicknamed “The Egyptian Wizard,” who joined the Wikipedia page in the 1990s through the early 2000s, including the summer of 1992 and nineteen ninety six.
Salem is known to have killed an opponent, Randie Carver, in the Kansas City ring in September 1999 after repeatedly striking the convict.
Carver never regained consciousness after turning it off in the 10th round and, according to Wikipedia, he died two days after a blunt trauma to the head.
The victim, who lived in Rosebank, was an attorney for Muslim women who were victims of domestic violence through her volunteer work at the Asiyah Women’s Center in New York City, a 20-bed shelter and resource organization.
