A California man, Jorge Bucioperez, is charged with biting and barking at a K-9 officer after leading her to a car chase Saturday night.
Jorge Bucioperez faces multiple charges following the chain of wild events that began when police discovered him allegedly turning on red lights at an intersection in Corning at 10 mph, police said.
Bucioperez was unable to stop when police tried to stop him and sped to 75 mph, the Corning Police Department said in a statement posted on Facebook.
The suspect entered through a door in an alley and fled on foot to a courtyard. The police asked him to release his K-9 named Blaze.
Blaze captured Bucioperez, but the suspect who allegedly bit the dog tried to bite the officers and barked at them, the department said.
Police say Bucioperez was drinking and found methamphetamine in his truck.
Bucioperez was charged with DUI for driving with an expired driver’s license and possession of drugs.
