Who was Jordan Banks?

TAXES were paid to an “extraordinary” child who was killed by lightning while playing soccer.

The young man, nicknamed Jordan Banks, was attending a solo session in a Blackpool field when horror broke out last night.

They said, “Our bee’s Jordan U9 tragically died last night doing what he loved.

“Jordan has been a shining light and an inspiration to everyone he has met. A strong, determined and brave young man that everyone misses.

“The world has truly lost an incredible young man who has done so much good in his community.

“We cannot imagine the pain in the family. Our thoughts, prayers, love and hugs go out to everyone and their teammates, friends and coaches who are devastated by defeat. ”

The club said it will work with the football association to “support the family and all those affected by this tragedy.”

Jordan was an avid soccer player and was praised earlier this year by Liverpool star James Milner for his “incredible” charitable work.

The teen raised £ 2,500 by walking 30 miles for a local mental health charity in honor of his uncle Reece, who committed suicide in 2018.

For the “little superstar” with a local church, the flowers were left at the crime scene to celebrate the subsequent services.

Jordan’s best friend, nine-year-old CJ Campbell, paid tribute to his friend and left her a soccer ball and flowers.

He said: “I am very sad about what happened.

“Jordan was my best friend and I will miss him. I have met him from the welcome class.

“We play soccer against each other.

“He was a lot of fun and caring and he raised money for a charity.

“He was in my class at school.”

CJ’s father Chris, a landscape architect, said: “Jordan had an individual training session.

“His stepfather was in the car at the time. It is awful.

“At the time, he was having a practice session to improve his game.

“I am very sorry for his family and what they are going through.”

Spirit of Youth Junior FC, who used the field, paid tribute to Jordan.

They said: “It is with deep regret that we have to share the news that the young man who was struck by lightning tonight has sadly died.

“The tragic accident happened at our local stadium on the Common Edge grounds, but not during club training.

“As a club, we are heartbroken and express our deepest condolences to the boy’s family.

“Spirit of Youth is family and we are rooted in the local community. We will provide all the necessary support both to the family and to those who were with him at that time.

“We would like to ask people to respect the privacy of the family at this tragic time. Rest in peace, young man. ”

Scott Benton said?

South Blackpool MP Scott Benton said he was “incredibly tired of hearing this tragic and heartbreaking news.”

“I’m sure I speak for the entire community when I say that everyone in Blackpool will think of the boy’s family and friends at this sad time,” he said.

Witnesses have now recounted how the boy was beaten while he was training during a storm.

One said: “It was a one-on-one soccer game. My sister saw him play with her friends at school. He was friends with my grandson for a minute. . We found out very sadly. ”

“It is definitely a success because we knew his family personally. You never thought something like this would happen. It’s so heartbreaking that I mean the odds. ”

Shortly after 5 p.m. Officers were called to the school’s sports ground on School Road in Blackpool yesterday to report that a child had been injured.

Police said that while investigations are still ongoing, at the time “they believe the boy was struck by lightning.”

Ambulance services visited him and took him to the hospital, but he sadly passed away shortly after.
