Yurkovich yelled ‘don’t talk to me’ and ‘don’t touch me’ near the man’s face, according to a federal criminal complaint.
When the man did not respond, Yurkovich allegedly hit him multiple times, breaking his glasses and causing him to bleed “excessively from the ear.”

John Yurkovich Jr. was arrested Wednesday morning when the flight crew diverted the plane to land in Charleston, South Carolina, following the alleged attack aboard Flight 728.
Yurkovich, who authorities said was carrying 1.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, went insane on the flight from Newark, NJ to Miami, Florida, and removed his mask before assaulting a passenger.
Other passengers were forced to intervene to immobilize the 45-year-old man, tying him with bridles and a belt, while a doctor who was traveling on the flight sedated him with drugs.

A lawyer for Yurkovich said the incident was misplaced.
“This whole incident is very uncharacteristic of John,” Rose Mary Parham told McClatchy News.
“He is a loving husband and father and a successful businessman.”
He was released on a $ 50,000 bond.
