John McKno Biography
A pedophile teacher who sexually abused five boarding school children died after choking on breakfast in prison, according to an investigation.
John McKno, 74, of Alby, Norfolk, abused children in Suffolk, Devon and Worcestershire in the 1970s and 1980s and was jailed years later in 2016.
McKno, who suffered from various health conditions, choked on food and died of “ heart failure ” in Norwich prison on September 29, 2020.
Investigation
An investigation at the Norfolk Coroner’s Court found that McKno died by accident, reports BBC News.
Pedophile McKno admitted to being indecent, indecent assault and serious sexual assault for the abuse of four children under the age of 16 and one under the age of 14.
McKno, who worked at Beam College, Devon, Kesgrave Hall School near Ipswich and St Michael’s College in Tenbury Wells, was jailed for 14 years in 2016.

After McKno pleaded guilty, one of his victims, who was 52 years old at the trial, said: “ At first, McKno was a very nice teacher, a fair teacher, and I did well in math.
‘I can’t go into too much detail, but I was abused, which ruined my childhood and my trust in teachers, even though it only happened once.
“ I was scared, I shut up and shut my mouth. ”
