Andrew Finlay, the prosecutor, told the Middlesbrough court that he had been to a hotel where staff called police after suspecting him. He said agents found that Farrow bought a cell phone and erased the story.

Finlay said: “The police had not been informed of his possession of this item.”

When questioned by police, Farrow said he went into Hartlepool Police Station and proved he had the phone, but did not know the number.

Girl admitted

He admitted that he spent the night with a 14-year-old boy and did not have the approval of social services. Farrow, homeless, pleaded guilty to two cases of SHPO rape and one case of violation of suspended sentence.

He had already been sentenced in August for two reasons: attempted sexual communication with a child and instigation of sexual activity in a child.

Jane Waugh told

Jane Waugh told the defense court that Farrow was unable to speak to her legal representative after the hearing and that she was unable to read the documents she received from the court.

She said: “Accept that the court read it to you. Due to his age and the emotionally difficult situation in which he was sentenced, the conditions should have been overlooked ”.

Ms. Waugh said she went to the address because she did not have a permanent address and they gave her a bed for the night.

She told the court that she used her cell phone for safety and nothing “illegal.”

The judge, Chancellor Jonathan Sandiford QC, asked Ms Waugh how she could communicate with the 14-year-old “boy” when he couldn’t read.

She replied, “She has reading skills, but they are very limited.”

Ms. Waugh said she did not appear to know that she had deleted the phone history.

The Sandiford QC employee told Farrow: “After he was released from prison on August 12, he left immediately and broke the order.

“Go to a house where a 14-year-old boy lives without talking to that child’s parents or social services.

“When he told the police he had a phone, he didn’t give a phone number.

“You have erased the history of the Internet, the very behavior for which the Sexual Injury Prevention Ordinance was designed.”
