The actor also talked about protecting his children from anything that goes on in the background between all of their parents.

He said, ‘The thing is, they shouldn’t know about that because none of this is their fault. You know, it’s not his fault he’s not with Harry’s mom.

It is not the child’s fault. You know, it’s something we’ve done. It was the decisions we made. So none of this is their fault. So as long as we remember that and go, well, this is what we do.

‘This is good. It’s okay. And again Stacey and I paddle all the time, that’s part of it. As long as we are fundamentally on the same page, this is how it works.

“Rail safety is something that I knew Stacey and I should talk to children about, but we thought it was something they could learn in school when they were a little older.

“We had talked about being careful when we were near the road, but even though we used the railways frequently, we really didn’t know where to start and we didn’t want to scare them.

“Our kids love Thomas the Tank Engine and when we read the book, they loved it. The activities at the end got them thinking too and it was a very nice way to get the message across. ‘

The campaign is part of Network Rail’s commitment to helping parents educate their children on how to stay safe when traveling on or around the railroad.
