Jim Cramer Wiki Bio

CNBC’s Jim Cramer called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a ‘crazy Nancy’, to her face Tuesday morning, using the nickname President Donald Trump has given her.

“Sorry, it was the president,” Cramer said immediately after the slip. ‘I have such reverence for the office, I would never use that term.’

Pelosi laughed and said, ‘but you just did it, but you just did it,’ and then called Trump the ‘master of projection.’

Let me tell you this, whatever the president says is a projection of his own insecurities. He calls other people crazy because he knows he is, ” he said.

So every time he says something, you say, “Oh, that’s what he’s thinking of himself,” he continued.

Cramer tried to backtrack on his comments multiple times throughout the ‘Squawk on the Street’ interview.

“You know, I was kidding when I used the term that involved you,” he said. ‘I respect you. Anyone who gives his life to public service and is Speaker of the House should not be called by that name. ‘

“I don’t even want to use it again,” he continued.

Later, she tweeted: ‘I hate being called’ Crazy Nancy ‘. He has spent his entire life in public services. My critics didn’t hear why I brought it up, because it’s horrible. ”

During the interview, Pelosi turned him down and said she had “great respect” for the host of “Mad Money.”

“Don’t worry about it,” he offered. “Let that be your biggest problem today.”

Some of Pelosi’s allies weren’t that interested in letting Cramer get out of trouble.

“This is the end of Jim Cramer as a serious financial commentator. I could also hang it up and go to work for Fox, ” former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean tweeted, sharing the video clip.

Journalist Joan Walsh called it “gruesome” as Trump’s “Art of the Deal” ghostwriter Tony Schwartz lashed out at the president, saying he “decimated civility and dragged us all along with him.”

‘Example: CNBC’s horrible Jim Cramer calls Speaker Pelosi’ crazy Nancy ‘to her face, as if it’s okay to tell the Speaker of the House,’ Schwartz tweeted.

During the interview, Pelosi also said she saw no point in calling Trump for another coronavirus relief bill deal.

‘What is the point?’ she asked Cramer. “The president has sent his representatives and if he has confidence in them, so do I.”

She called out Trump for his cheating and propensity to lie.

“So if you’re talking to him, you almost wasted your time,” he said.

Pelosi also noted that it had been less than a year since she spoke to Trump, having spoken with him last October and interacted with him at the State of the Union in early February.
