A gas station employee in Connecticut “staged” a robbery with the help of two suspects in an inside job that generated more than $ 8,000, police said.

How old is Jamie Darouse ?

She is 31 year old.

Arrested and Charged

Jamie Darouse was arrested Wednesday in the May 24 robbery that she reported while she was working at a Citgo gas station in Milford, police said in a statement Thursday.

Darouse, who had a court appearance scheduled for last Thursday, faces the same charges as Ruffin, in addition to falsely reporting an incident and making a false statement to police. He was ordered to detain her on $ 100,000 bail and it is unclear if he hired an attorney who could speak on her behalf.

Suspect

Darouse told police that a male suspect broke into the gas station wearing sunglasses, a hat and a face mask and gave him a demand note stating that he had a loaded gun, police said.

Darouse, of West Haven, complied with the suspect’s order, turning over “all the money” into a cash register, as well as the deposited cash, totaling more than $ 8,000. The thief then got into the passenger seat of a car he was waiting for and drove away, Darouse told police.wikipedia

Jamie Darouse planned the robbery with a 19-year-old man and another suspect.

But a subsequent investigation revealed that Darouse coordinated with a 19-year-old man, Khari Ruffin, of Waterbury, in the robbery, along with a third suspect who acted as an escape driver at the gas station, police said.

Ruffin, who allegedly acted as the alleged thief, turned himself in to Milford police on Aug. 13 on charges of third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny. He has been released after posting a $ 20,000 bond, police said.

Milford police said Thursday they were still searching for the alleged driver of the leak. A message seeking additional comment from police was not immediately returned Monday.
