Camaron and Codie wore black and held hands as they grabbed Ciaran’s favorite stuffed animals. The couple left a card on the spot that read: ‘For my baby. Ciaran Leigh Morris. Thinking of you always and forever. Always be happy. Mommy and Daddy love you so much, our perfect boy.

Fly high Ciaran, you didn’t deserve this. I wish we could take you home with us. Sleep easy, rest easy, our baby. I love mom and dad. ‘

Police believe the tragedy occurred after the BMW 1 Series collided with a Ford B-Max before crashing to the pavement and pinning the mother and baby to the wall.

The driver of the white BMW has not paid road tax since Oct. 22, according to DVLA records seen by MailOnline. He has an up-to-date MOT.

Ciaran’s great-aunt Lisa Forde, 58, of Brownhills, West Midlands, said: ‘I am Ciaran’s great-aunt on her father’s side. He is just heartbreaking. I don’t think there is anything else he can say.

Another man, who came to put flowers, added: ‘It’s just horrible. I know the family very well and they are a really nice family.

“My best friend is part of the family and I know the baby’s mother and uncle.”

Another woman who came to put flowers said: ‘I did not know them personally, but I knew them.

“ They were really good parents and he was a sweet baby. ”

Police stood guard at the scene of the tragedy that occurred around 4 pm on Easter Sunday.

The metal shutter of the store where the accident occurred was crooked and bent, and bricks were still strewn across the road.

Stuart Evans, 52, a builder from Pelsall, West Mids., Lays flowers on the pavement.

The driver is believed to have escaped on foot, but MailOnline has contacted West Midlands Police to confirm this.

Speaking to Sun Online, a witness recounted how the baby’s parents were “hysterical” after the incident, and bystanders were trying to calm them down.

“All I saw was a car that had trapped a baby in a buggy at an iron gate,” the witness said.

Investigation

Collision Investigation Unit Sgt. Mark Crozier said: ‘A baby tragically died and we will do everything we can to support his family during this deeply devastating time.

We are in the process of speaking with witnesses and establishing the circumstances surrounding this collision.

“ I would ask anyone who is in the area and has information that can help us in our inquiries, to come forward.

“We understand the impact this will have caused, but I ask people not to speculate about what happened.”

Police said they are particularly interested in hearing from anyone in the area who may have dash cam footage, either before or at the time of the collision.
