Combs was arrested and reportedly spat on an officer while escorting her to her patrol vehicle.
CPD transported her to the Bartholomew County Jail, where she was held on charges of assault with bodily waste and four Bartholomew County warrants.
Wanted woman charged with spitting on Columbus officer
A woman wanted for four outstanding warrants in Bartholomew County is in even more trouble after she allegedly spat at a Columbus officer early yesterday morning.
Officers located 36-year-old Heather D. Combs at a home in the 1200 block of 8th Street, just after 1 a.m. Tuesday. She was detained and when an officer escorted her to a patrol vehicle, it was then that she allegedly spat at the police.
In addition to the four court orders, she now faces a new charge of assault for bodily waste of a public safety officer.
