A naked maniac pushed a woman off the Harlem subway platform on Saturday, but then jumped after her and beat herself to death on the third rail during a maddened fight on the tracks with a good Samaritan, police said.
The deranged, naked man had been wandering around Station 2 and 3 at 110th Street and Central Park North when he pushed the woman around around 3:40 p.m., police said.
A brave fellow jumped down onto the runway platform to help her.
That’s when the naked attacker jumped onto the tracks himself and began beating the would-be rescuer, police said.
During the fight, the attacker made contact with the third lane. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after, police said.
A train was entering the station at the time, but did not make contact with the two strange survivors, police said.
They were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with minor injuries.

“I used to stand on the edge of the platform. You know, waiting for the doors to open, ”he said.
“I don’t do that anymore. I’m just more careful. I’m a native New Yorker. I know what time it is. You’ll see that my back is to the wall. That’s because I don’t want anyone to come after me.”
Bacchiano wondered if the stress of the pandemic was to blame.
“There’s been a lot of this lately,” he said.
“The last few months I have read several different stories. People pushing. People pushing. But can you imagine? I’m just trying to stay away from the people that I should stay away from. I am a social worker. Let me put it that way.
