Guilherme Alves is a young Brazilian gamer who was reportedly arrested after he turned himself in at a police compound and acknowledged that he murdered a 19-year-old rival while they were playing Call of Duty at his home. Brazilian media outlet R7 reported that Alves made the shocking admission about half an hour after murdering Ingrid Oliveira at his home and uploaded a video of the gruesome act on social media on Monday.
Alves can be seen smiling in a video after police handcuffed him outside the station in the northern São Paulo city of Pirituba.

When a law enforcement officer asked him why he killed Oliveira, Alves said “because I wanted to.” Another person in the background later embarrassed Alves by telling him: “You are laughing at a situation, you killed a girl, Guilherme.”
Then Alves replied, “My sanity is completely adequate. I wanted to do that.” The teen murder suspect met his victim online playing Call of Duty: Mobile last month and had reportedly planned his murder for at least two weeks, according to G1.
Oliveira’s body was discovered by Alves’s brother.

Alves stabbed Oliveira several times, terrifyingly claiming in a video, “look how wonderful.” The suspect, who does not have a criminal record, also wanted to ensure that people viewing the video knew that the blood was actually from Oliveira.
“You think it’s ink editing, but it’s not. I really killed him. I have a book too. I asked people to reveal it,” he said.

In the video, Alves talked about a 52-page book that he had written in which he claimed that he never knew his biological father. He also commented on a “mission” that he had created to kill an unknown number of people.
“If you choose to be a person without the feelings of others, just kill multiple people and prevent remorse from coming,” he wrote.

Oliveira played under the online username “Sol” and was part of an E-Sports team called FBI E-Sports. Alves also belonged to an online gaming team known as Gamers Elite and played by the nickname “Lantern.”
