Grant Fisher, 23, leaves behind a wife and a 4-month-old daughter.
Grant Fisher, a bored man who died in an accident on Highway 26 early Friday, was a young husband and father, according to a GoFundMe page created in his name.
Fisher, 23, was driving west on Route 26 near Stone Road around 6 a.m. When he was struck from behind by a speeding Ford F-250 pickup truck, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
Fisher, who was driving a GMC Sierra, was injured and taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The delivery truck driver, Trever Lee, 33, of Sandy, was allegedly drunk at the time of the accident, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Lee was hospitalized before being transferred to the Clackamas County Jail. He is charged with DUII, manslaughter, criminal negligence manslaughter, and reckless driving.
According to a GoFundMe fundraiser for Fischer’s family, the 23-year-old leaves behind a wife and 4-month-old daughter.
Fisher graduated from Grant High School in 2015. He played baseball in high school and in college for Western Oregon University and Clark College.
