Who is Gene Simmons ?

Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer and Paul Stanley of Kiss perform on stage during the Tribeca Festival screening of “Biography: KISStory” at Battery Park on June 11, 2021 in New York City.

More members of the legendary rock group Kiss have tested positive for COVID-19.

Following an announcement on Friday that Paul Stanley tested positive for the virus, and that the band would cancel the evening’s show as a result, Gene Simmons also tested positive and will postpone several upcoming shows as a result.

“Kiss will postpone their next four tour dates. While Paul Stanley recently tweeted that he has recovered from COVID, Gene Simmons has now tested positive and is experiencing mild symptoms, ”Kiss tweeted from his official Twitter account on Tuesday. “The band and crew will be staying home and in isolation for the next 10 days and doctors have indicated that the tour should be able to resume on September 9 at the FivePoint Amphitheater in Irvine, CA.”

The Post has reached out to representatives for Gene Simmons for comment.

Tickets purchased for their “End of the Road” farewell tour will be honored on the new dates once they are announced, the publication added. The now-postponed shows were scheduled to take place in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin. The program canceled after Stanley’s diagnosis was in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.

In announcing the rockers’ breakthrough cases, Kiss also revealed that the entire band and tour team are fully vaccinated.

The Kiss members “and their team have independently operated in a bubble to safeguard everyone as much as possible at every show and between shows,” the band wrote in a statement following Stanley’s diagnosis. “The tour also has a COVID safety protocol officer on staff on a full-time basis ensuring everyone is closely following all of the CDC guidelines.”

Stanley shared his experience with the new virus on Twitter.

“My COVID symptoms were MILD compared to many others and let me tell you … it kicked my butt,” he wrote Monday. “It’s over.”
