Charges Against ”Garvey Gayle”

Garvey Gayle, 21, is charged with the murder of his father Michael Gayle and the murder of his mother Amanda Brookes in St. Mellons, Cardiff.

A son accused of killing his father and killing his mother appeared in crown court. The defendant appeared in Cardiff Crown Court on Tuesday for a brief preliminary hearing in which District Attorney Michael Jones told QC that he was “accused of killing and attempting his parents.”

When asked if it was Garvey Gayle, the defendant replied, “No, Jesus Christ.”

Garvey of Cypress Crescent, St. Mellons, faces numerous murders and attempted murders.

Judge Michael Fitton QC informed the defendant that his trial will begin on May 17, 2021.

Garvey Gayle, who appeared without legal representative, was sent to a new hearing on Thursday, October 29.

Family Tribute

Michael Gayle, 54, was described as “a kind and caring man who adored his longtime partner, Amanda, and their four children.”

The tribute reads: “He was a glorious grandfather with the kindest heart and whose smile always lit up the room.

“Michael had a private life with his family all the time.

“Michael’s lifestyle was not related to death, he believed that life was eternal. Although we let him rest early, it was important to him to know that he is still there and that his soul is still alive. We get peace from that. .

“He has spent his life loving us, guiding us, and protecting us.

“We want to thank everyone for their warm messages during this difficult time and we appreciate their support.”
