Gabriel Bringye Wiki
Gabriel Bringye Biography
The body of Gabriel Bringye, 37, who was planning his wedding later this year, was found in his vehicle outside a school in Tottenham on Wednesday night.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder after one of his passengers stabbed to death a minicab driver in north London.
Detectives believe he was killed by a client who had fled when police arrived.
Friends say nothing was stolen and believe Bringye was the victim of a targeted attack or that he had an argument with his client.
A bus driver parked in front of Mr. Bringye’s private taxi alerted the police, and an air ambulance was called, but he was pronounced dead at the scene 40 minutes later.
The incident sparked Scotland Yard’s 15th murder investigation of the year so far from London.
Bringye was originally from Romania, but had been in the UK for 13 years and had worked as a minicab driver in London since 2015.
His family has already raised more than £ 19,000 in a heartbreaking appeal to ‘help bring Gabriel home’ to be with his parents in Romania.
On her appeal, Gabriel’s sister said: ‘Unfortunately, my brother was killed while working as a taxi driver.

“We do not have much information about what happened because the police do not tell us anything and the culprit has not yet been caught.
“They are left with a family that will never recover.”
She added: ‘Please help us take Gabriel home, to be with his parents, in the country where he was born and he would have wanted to return one day but not like this.’
Her sister has given police details of her last pickup, which was an address in Tottenham.
The fare was requested through the Bolt mobile app in which customers can book a private rental taxi in the same way they use the Gett app.
A friend paid tribute to Mr Bringye, who lived in Leyton, East London, and said that he was excited to marry his fiancee Mara later this year.
They said: ‘The wedding plans had been called off due to Covid, but Gabriel was hopeful that he and Mara could get married this year.

It is a terrible tragedy. He was the kindest and gentlest human being you could ever meet. He wouldn’t hurt a fly. We are all in shock.
We don’t know if he maybe had an argument with a passenger and was stabbed for it. I can’t believe why someone would want to hurt him.
He himself had no children, but he adored the children of his sister. He was a great-uncle and very close to his brother and sister, who lived close to him.
“ We still do not know many details, he was working last night and apparently he was killed right after he had collected a ticket.
“The police were called by someone who had been on a bus parked in front of the crime scene.”
Mr Bringye lived with Mara at a terraced home in Tottenham. She was too upset to talk this morning.
However, another friend told MailOnline: “ We believe a customer stabbed him during a trip on the Bolt app.
‘The attacker did not take anything away from him and it happened in a low traffic area, leaving the impression that the attacker perhaps prepared everything beforehand.
Gabriel’s sister managed to log into her Bolt account and the last trip had not yet closed, so she was able to see the pickup address that was on N17, near where the murder occurred.

Homicide detectives from the Metropolitan Police Crime Specialist are leading the investigation. An autopsy is planned. There have been no arrests.
DCI Neil John, who is leading the investigation, said: ‘We are still in the early stages of trying to establish what happened on Jarrow Road on Wednesday night and we are still trying to establish the motive for this attack.
Gabriel, who worked as a private driver, was found fatally injured inside his car. We need to know why he was there and who else was present.
“It is vital that we collect all the evidence so that we can identify who is responsible for taking Gabriel’s life.”
