Frederick K.C. Price, the beloved Los Angeles pastor who founded the Crenshaw Christian Center, died at the age of 89, according to his son.

Dad is currently in the hospital … We are still on his feet for his complete healing and restoration of the complications he has suffered as a result of COVID-19. We will never give up on our father and we will continue to pray, we will continue to believe, we will continue to stand and we will continue to lust for a miracle for him. ”
On January 4, Price Jr. wrote: “Happy 89th Birthday Dad, I love and honor you for being the yardstick of the man you’ve been my entire life. As many of you know, my parents tested positive for Covid-19. Once the frustration and annoyance passed, I reminded myself of his faith and the many challenges they had overcome. The coronavirus is just another notch on their belts. Thanks for all the prayers from him 🙏🏽; much love and appreciation for all of you ”.
According to ABC 7, Price founded the 28,000-member Crenshaw Christian Center in 1973. It was “one of America’s first black megachurches,” reaching 15 million people on television each week, ABC 7 reported. His family founded a school.
