A 29-year-old woman is behind bars after police say she stabbed her roommate to death in Flatbush.
Police say she responded to a 911 call Friday at 11:53 p.m. for an assault call at 557 East 21st St. When police arrived, they found and treated a 29-year-old woman suffering from a laceration to her right hand. She was transferred to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County and is in stable condition.
According to police, Freddy Quevedo, 73, of Brooklyn, sustained multiple stab wounds to the back and was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.
Arrested and Charged Paola Jinenez
Police arrested Paola Jinenez, 29, in connection with the incident. She has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
According to police, at 11:53 p.m. on April 29, officers responded to a 911 call about a past assault inside 557 East 21st Street. Upon arrival, officers found 29-year-old Paola Jiménez, who had a wound to her right hand, and 73-year-old Freddy Quevedo, who had been stabbed multiple times in the back.
Death
Both Quevedo and Jimenez were taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where Quevedo was pronounced dead.
An NYPD spokesperson confirmed that the two were roommates and had had a dispute prior to the 911 call. Although the NYPD could not confirm the cause of the dispute at this time, the Daily News reported. that the argument was allegedly due to the frequent visits of Jiménez’s boyfriend.
Jimenez was subsequently arrested and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
