Frantisek Morris Biography
Who is Frantisek Morris ?
An 18-year-old graffiti artist who disappeared after an illegal rave near Bangor hanged himself from a tree in a dense forest, a coroner concluded today.
Frantisek Morris, from Llandegfan, Anglesey, went missing on May 2, prompting a month-long search by North Wales police as divers tracked a local river in an effort to track it down.wikipedia
In today’s Caernarfon investigation, acting coroner Katie Sutherland said Morris may have been concerned about a recent rape allegation against him.
Upon reaching a suicide conclusion, she said: “I am satisfied that there was no third party involvement, in general.”
The coroner added that no official complaint had been made to the police about the alleged rape.
During the search for Mr. Morris, North Wales police sent divers to explore Afon Cegin, a river near where he was last seen.
But these efforts came to an end on June 3, when a body was found in Caerhun, outside Bangor.
A member of the public had called the police to the scene due to a strong odor.
Mr. Morris, who was a known drug user, was later identified from clothing and documents.
Home Office pathologist Dr. Brian Rodgers performed an autopsy on Mr. Morris’s body, who claimed that death “would have been quite instantaneous.”
The young man had attended a party at a disused quarry in Waunfawr, near Snowdonia National Park, the night before his disappearance.
In the weeks that followed, officers investigating the case arrested a man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and a man and a woman on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
But then they were released and removed from the investigation.
