Death: Farrah Rauch Shooting
Rauch and Joseph Dugan, both fugitives from Nebraska, were identified by their old school, Blair High School, in a letter to parents, as the teens who died in the shooting. Muskogee police said in a news release that officers were initially called in on the afternoon of March 1 to report an attempted carjacking.
After seeing the stolen truck, a brief chase ensued until the vehicle crashed, police said. Images released by the Muskogee Police Department show officers traveling at speeds in excess of 90 mph to catch up with the truck as it travels down the road with a flat tire.
Police officers were able to briefly block the truck in front of a gas station before it maneuvered around it and continued the chase at lower speeds.
Finally, the video shows the truck stop and the two suspects, both armed, jump up and start running.
‘Stop! I’m going to bother you! ” A cop yells as he chases after Rauch and pulls the yellow taser out of her. Rauch begins to shoot an officer, who falls to the ground and yells, “Shots fired.” The police officer then draws the gun from him and fires 12 shots before getting up and continuing the chase, the video shows.
“Drop the gun,” the officer tells the suspect, who is not seen on camera before he sees blood on his own hands and other officers continue the chase.
“He has shot Me twice,” says the policeman as he catches up with his colleagues.
Another officer yells “show us your hands, drop your gun” before a burst of gunfire is heard on video.

Body camera footage from another officer shows Rauch lying on the ground near a wooded area off the road as he points the gun at officers. Then, Rauch began firing at the officers who responded to the fire, killing her, police spokeswoman Lynn Hamlin told KRJH-TV.
Police believe the teens were in a romantic relationship, Teehee said, and were reported missing on Thursday, February 25. They arrived in Oklahoma on March 1. Police say the girl was shot and killed a few blocks from where the vehicle crashed.
Drone footage released by police shows officers locating the boy in a nearby heavily forested area. When officers approached, they say she shot herself.
Funeral of Farrah Rauch
Teehee hugged Rauch’s father as he walked to a church lectern in Blair, where he said he had never been invited to speak at a victim’s funeral in his 35-year law enforcement career. Rauch’s father also invited the four officers to the funeral, but Teehee said they “didn’t think they were ready to do this.”
“They said, ‘Boss, I’m not going to be able to do this, but will you let this family know that I love them and that we have no ill will?'” Teehee said.
“What is the message that we can take from this young life, that we can continue from this point on and go back to that?” Teehee asked.
“For me, that message is forgiveness.”
Steven Rauch said that he spoke to Teehee after the death of his daughter.
Farrah Rauch Obituary
Rauch told funeral attendees that his daughter “touched many hearts” but that she was in a “dark cycle” when she was shot, the Omaha World-Herald reported. “She always did everything to the max, and unfortunately, she took the dark side and got caught up in it,” she said, according to the outlet.
He continued, “I think she couldn’t break that crazy cycle of doing the same thing over and over again.”
