Who is Emma Whitfield ?

The mother of a 10-year-old boy who was killed by a dog paid tribute to her “beautiful” and “sweet” son.

Jack Lis died in a home in Pentwyn, Penyrheol, Caerphilly, on Monday afternoon.

A heartbroken mother has paid tribute to her ‘sweet sweet’ boy today after her 10-year-old son was mauled to death by an American-Pitbull-style dog while visiting a friend after school.

The dog was destroyed by the officers.

Neighbor Tracey Lawrence said

Neighbor Tracey Lawrence said the alarm was raised by a tragic friend of Jack’s who ran out of the house when the animal attacked in the hallway.

She said: ‘The boy who lives there ran up to the neighbor and said,’ My dog has killed my friend. My neighbor went and tried to push the door open, but the dog had grabbed onto the boy’s leg.

Everyone was in the street crying. It was awful here. Everyone was upset. ”

The dog was about 15 months old and was described by other villagers as a “problem”. Tracey said: ‘The children were too young to be home alone. Especially with a dog like that.

‘The last time I saw the dog it was just a little puppy, but seeing it yesterday was like:’ Oh my God.

Attack

Jack lived on a neighboring street, but stopped by his friend’s house on the way home. Pupils from the nearby Cwm Ifor primary school in Penyrheol returned home together before the attack at 3.55pm.

Gwent Police Chief Superintendent Mark Hobrough said in a statement: ‘My condolences and thoughts go out to Jack’s family, friends, school friends and all those affected by this within the community.

We can confirm that the attack did not occur at the house owned by Jack’s family, but inside another property on a nearby street.

In a Facebook post, his mother Emma Whitfield wrote: “With so much heartbroken and before close friends and family see his name on the news, I have to announce that our beautiful boy Jack was so tragically abducted yesterday.”

She said that “he was not our dog, nor did it happen in our family home.”

“He was out to play. We love you so much, our sweet, sweet boy.”

Ch Supt Mark Hobrough confirmed that the attack “did not occur at the house owned by Jack’s family, but inside another property on a nearby street.”

Paramedics went to the place where the boy was pronounced dead.

Family

“My condolences and thoughts go out to Jack’s family, friends, school friends and all those affected by this within the community,” said Ch Supt Hobrough.

“Officers continue to conduct further investigations at this time and will remain at the scene as the investigation progresses.”

Neighbors described being alerted to “screams” on the street.

Son Death

Investigation

Armed police were dispatched to the scene in Pentwyn along with paramedics yesterday afternoon.

Jack died at the scene, while the dog involved was destroyed by firearms officers.
