“Be careful which judges you choose,” the victim’s father told FOX 26.
‘What does the judge say to our children when we try to teach them to go to the police? Let the police take care of everything. Let the law do it. That’s your job, and then this happens. They slap you on the wrist, ” the victim’s father said.

His identity and the identity of his daughter were not disclosed to protect the victim’s privacy.
“ No victim will want to come forward and go through all the struggles and all the trials that they have to go through, just for the person to come out and walk free, ” she continued.
Polk County District Attorney Lee Hon told FOX 26 that Binnion forcibly sexually assaulted a girl, who was 14 years old at the time. Binnion was 19 years old.
On July 1, 2018, the father said the victim was at a family reunion when he decided to travel with Binnion and another person to a Hampton Inn in Livingston, Texas, to obtain supplies for the party. After the execution of the hotel, the victim was expected to return to the meeting.
But according to the district attorney, Binnion proceeded to follow the teenager to a hotel room, where he forced her to sit on her bed before raping her while the victim tried to fight him.
Hon said the victim’s parents wanted to testify at trial, an idea that Kitchens rejected.
“They said they didn’t want to hear it,” said the father. It wouldn’t do any good. He already made a decision.
Mike Davis, Binnion’s defense attorney, refutes the claim that the judge declined to hear testimony from the family and said that such a decision would rest with the district attorney’s office.
Although Binnion pleaded guilty, the judge did not plead guilty in adjudicating the case.
According to court records, Binnion also broke the jaw of fellow inmate Anthony William Slaton while he was in jail awaiting trial on the rape charge on September 2, 2018. He received three years for that attack.
He also had a history of assault and evasion of arrest. His father claimed that he had known Binnion for years.
He shared the trauma his daughter has gone through.
“ I know I walked into the room and she cries at night, she can’t sleep, she’s nervous, nervous, excited sometimes, ” he said. Although she is strong. She’s getting over it the best she can hope for, I guess. But she still took away something that she shouldn’t have been.
He said that Binnion “made a very bad decision.”
“ I pray that she does not regret the decision that she made, because it will happen again, ” the father added. “People like that don’t stop.”
I promised my daughter justice. And obviously I was wrong because the judicial system is not going to give it to him.
