Everard’s high-profile case has gripped the nation since her mysterious disappearance on March 3. The current theory is that Wayne, an officer with the Diplomatic and Parliamentary Protection Command, used her identification to lure Everard out before kidnapping her. It is unclear what role, if any, Elena played in the horrific incident. Everard’s remains were found in a forest in Kent, near the Couzens’ home.
Until now, the police have yet to determine the motive for the incident. A police statement said: “The man is an officer of the Metropolitan Police in the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command. His main function was the tasks of a uniformed patrol of diplomatic premises. A woman in her 30s was also arrested on the night of March 9 on suspicion of helping a criminal. She remains in custody. ”

Sarah Everard is Marketing Director for Brixton, South London. On Wednesday, March 3, 2021, Everard was walking between Clapham Junction and Brixton, heading for her home. She had gone to meet a friend and would return around 9 at night. On the way home, she was also talking to her partner for about 15 minutes on a call. She was last contacted around 9:28 p.m. and she’s been offline ever since, according to her best friend Rose Woollard.
Woollard, as well as Everard’s loved ones, have unanimously agreed that it was “extremely unusual” for her to cut contact all of a sudden. Her friends were concerned for her, who first informed the police about her mysterious disappearance. “Sarah and I met many years ago while studying together at Durham University.
She has always been an exceptional friend, leaving everything to be there to support her friends, when they need her, “said one of her friends to The Sun, adding:” It is not very characteristic that she has disappeared, that is why everyone is deeply concerned.
Police continued, in a statement: “It is believed that she crossed Clapham Common and was expected to arrive home approximately 50 minutes later. It is unclear if she returned to her home. She has not been seen or heard from since. ”
There was a surveillance image captured of her. “At around 9:30 pm on Wednesday, March 3, she was seen by CCTV walking alone on the A205 Poynders Road, from the junction with Cavendish Road, in the direction of Tulse Hill,” police wrote.
