Who is Eddie Achunche ?
Eddie Achunche, 45, had been confronted by the victim who was unhappy with drilling that had kept residents awake in Church End the previous night.
A man who drilled 5 centimeters into his neighbor’s skull in a violent attack after they complained about his overnight DIY has been jailed for four and a half years.
Police were called to a home in Harlow, Essex, around 1:00 p.m. M. From August 3 of last year, with reports that a man had been attacked with an electric drill.
When officers arrived, they found Eddie Achunche, 45, with the drill still in hand.
Achunche had attacked the victim after he was confronted by his nighttime drilling the night before that had kept residents awake on the street.
Witnesses described seeing the discussion before seeing the victim lying on the ground with Achunche ‘standing on him’ with the drill.
The victim, a man in his 30s, sustained serious head and face injuries, and doctors discovered that the drill had penetrated 5 cm into his brain.
He had a brain hemorrhage and now has significant weakness and physical impairment in his right upper and lower extremities, as well as double vision in his left eye and brain damage, resulting in memory and cognitive problems.

Arrested and Charged
Achunche claimed that he was acting in self-defense and that he had not intended to hurt anyone, but he was arrested and charged.
Following a trial in Chelmsford Crown Court, he was found guilty of unintentionally causing serious bodily injury, but was acquitted of the most serious GBH offense with intent.
In the same court, on Friday, October 22, he was imprisoned for four years and six months.
Investigating Detective Alana McCreath, of Harlow CID, said: ‘This was a brutal attack that resulted in life-changing injuries to the victim.
‘It is unimaginable to use an electric drill against another person, but Eddie Achunche did exactly this.
‘The victim will have to live with the consequences of Achunche’s actions for the rest of his life.
Achunche has shown little remorse for his actions and instead tried to convince the officers that he was only acting in self-defense.
Fortunately, we and the jury were able to see through this and now he will spend the foreseeable future in prison.
‘I want to praise the courage of the victim and the support of his family.
“He will have to live with the consequences of Achunche’s actions for the rest of his life and he has shown incredible courage throughout the investigation and the judicial process.”
