Donovan Miller Biography
A grandson was charged with murder after his 76-year-old grandmother was found dead in his home weeks after battling the coronavirus.
The retiree, known locally as Phyllis Nelson (76), has been described by residents of Plaistow in East London as “the most beautiful person.”

Donovan Miller (born 14 January 1979) is a Jamaican-born former cricketer and current cricket coach.
His grandson Donovan Miller, 30, of Newham was charged with murder on Friday and was due to appear in Thames Magistrates Court on Saturday.
Police were called to his home around 10:20 p.m. Thursday, where the retiree was immediately pronounced dead.
Horrified neighbor Emma Martin, 32, described Phyllis as the matriarch of the block and said she always cooks or goes out to the garden pruning her rose bushes and holly.
Ms Martin said that Phyllis was born in Jamaica and lived on the first floor with her grandson, who took care of her after her battle with Covid.
She said: “I am really upset that she had Covid in January and was hospitalized for two weeks. Now to hear that they took her unfairly is just terrible. ”
“We were so excited to find her and she this week she was in the garden.
“She was a truly wonderful woman and everything you would want from a neighbor.
She “She was very sweet and the matriarch of the block in the best possible way.
“She has been very involved in the community since she retired and we have had many street parties. She was a church singer and was involved with the Plaistow South Big Local group. ”
Phyllis lived in the apartment for “decades” and was “fearless,” she added.
“I didn’t hear anything from the ground last night. I went to bed at 10 p.m. and then the police knocked on the door at midnight.”
