Don Everly, the last surviving member of the rock ‘n’ roll duo The Everly Brothers, has died at the age of 84.
A family spokesperson confirmed Everly’s death to the Los Angeles Times, but did not reveal the cause.

The Everly Brothers were inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in their freshman year, 1986, and received a lifetime achievement award at the Grammy Awards in 1997.
Rolling Stone magazine has called them “the most important vocal duo in rock.”
Why did the Everly Brothers fall?
In 1961, the brothers had a fight with Wesley Rose during the recording of “Temptation.” Rose was reportedly upset that the Everlys were recording a song that he had not released and therefore would not be paid any publishing royalties for.
