Who was Don Everly ?

Don Everly, the last surviving member of the rock ‘n’ roll duo The Everly Brothers, has died at the age of 84.

A family spokesperson confirmed Everly’s death to the Los Angeles Times, but did not reveal the cause.

They were known for their close harmonies and influenced bands like The Beatles.

The couple had a breakup on stage in 1973 that led to a decade-long rift, but Phil later told Time magazine that the siblings’ relationship had survived this.

Although painful, Patti Everly says she wants to talk about the last days of her husband to draw more attention to the illness that ended her life.

Why did the Everly Brothers fall?

In 1961, the brothers had a fight with Wesley Rose during the recording of “Temptation.” Rose was reportedly upset that the Everlys were recording a song that he had not released and therefore would not be paid any publishing royalties for.
