Dominic Glass Wiki
Dominic Glass Biography
Dominic Evan Glass is the Florida teenager facing charges for attempting to flee after he was arrested and placed in the back of a police vehicle in Clearwater Beach on March 17. A video of Glass’s escape attempt was posted on TikTok by user @nameone_better and has since attracted nearly 14 million views. A second teenager, who was identified on social media by Clearwater police as 18-year-old Adam Asad, opened the door of the police vehicle to allow Glass, who is also 18, a chance to run. Asad also faces charges.
The video that has gone viral on social media begins after Glass was already arrested and placed inside the police vehicle. The clip shows that a large crowd of bathers had gathered around the vehicle to see what was happening. Several people took out their cell phones and were probably recording. Two policemen are visible at the beginning of the video. They walk to the front of the vehicle, presumably after placing Glass in the back seat.
A second young man in a gray T-shirt approaches the vehicle as the officers drive away. He reaches out and opens the door before quickly moving toward the crowd. Someone in the crowd can be heard exclaiming, “He’s coming out!” Glass emerges from the back seat, jumps out of the vehicle, and runs down the beach. His arms are still secured behind his back by the handcuffs.
The crowd erupts in cheers and exclamations. The video shows a large group of people following Glass as officers pursue him. In the clip, people can be heard laughing and expressing amazement at what just happened.

Charges – Arrested
TikTok user @nameone_better shared a follow-up video that revealed how the chase ended on foot. Glass, who was wearing bright blue shorts, is seen in the video next to a stack of beach chairs. An officer comes out from the other side of the chairs pointing a gun at Glass, who stops running. The video shows the officer grabbing Glass’s wrists to carry him away.
The glass soon falls to the sand. In the video, it’s unclear whether Glass lost her balance or was still actively resisting at this point. According to the Clearwater police arrest affidavit, Glass’s escape attempt did not last long. The report indicates that Glass ran about 100 meters down the beach before being stopped.
Glass was detained due to a fight on the beach, according to the arrest affidavit. Clearwater police officers responded to the beach in the area north of Pier 60 just before 7 p.m. March 17. Police officers saw Glass and another teenager, identified as Ian Donald Combs in the arrest report, holding each other with padlocks. They did not stop fighting despite orders from the officers to let go. The report noted that the fight on the beach was captured on an officer’s body camera.
Police arrested Glass for disorderly conduct. He resisted by placing “both hands under his body while holding them together.”
Inmate records show that Glass spent a day behind bars. He posted a cash bond and was released. Pinellas County court records show that a public defender was appointed to represent Glass. He faces the following charges:
Escape – second degree felony
According to the arrest report, Glass lives in Land O ‘Lakes, a census-designated area north of Tampa in Pasco County.
The Clearwater Police Department has expressed disappointment at the online reaction to Glass’s escape attempt. “They are unruly people who behave inappropriately on the beach,” police spokesman Rob Shaw told WFLA-TV. “It is not a joke to us, it is not a laughing matter. It’s not about page clicks, page views, and social media. These are people who break the law and then disobey it. ”
The teenager who opened the door for Glass to escape, Adam Asad, was also arrested. Clearwater police said Asad faces two counts of helping a prisoner escape and resisting arrest without rape.
