Deranisha Williams, of Hammond, Louisiana, has been missing since Sept. 5 and was last seen at a family gathering around 6 p.m. Then she went to a nearby store with her boyfriend.
She never returned to the meeting and her family never spoke to her again.
At this point, police began searching for Williams’ friend, Randolph “Randy” Skinner, a 55-year-old wanted by the court.
He heard from her almost a month later.

Livingston Ward Sheriff Received Message
On October 2, the Livingston District Sheriff’s Unit received a call from the Tangipahoa District Sheriff’s Office regarding the murder.
“They told us they were calling from a man in trouble,” Livingston Sheriff Jason Ard said in a news release. “During this call, the man identifies the crime. He claims that he killed an acquaintance. Then he describes a possible crime scene: his house. His home is Livingston Ward. Today we responded with Skinner Lane to TPSO. ”
There, police discovered the body of Skinner, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, as well as the body of a woman found outside the home.
On Tuesday, the coroner positively identified the body as Williams. Police said the preliminary cause of death appears to be manual strangulation.
Police believe Williams died the day he disappeared.

Danielle’s mother told WAFB that her 21-year-old daughter recently divorced Skinner and that the couple are in a difficult relationship.
“We would have found it. I wanted to dig to the end of the earth, we found it, even if we were just bones, we would find it, “he said.
