Trump’s election lawyer Lin Wood calls for Pence to be “executed by firing squad”
Trump’s election attorney Lin Wood tweeted that Vice President Mike Pence “will face execution by firing squad,” in a series of tweets that prompted questions about her sanity. She called Mr. Pence a “coward” who “will sing like a bird and confess EVERYTHING.”
The attorney has lost several lawsuits challenging Donald Trump’s electoral defeat. In the thread Friday afternoon, Wood said the spotlight had been on Democrats during the effort to roll back the election, but that one of the main culprits for Trump’s defeat was her own party. Wood also represented Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager accused of shooting two protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin, during this summer’s racial justice protests.
“Over time, we have learned that the CCP and other foreign countries joined the Democrats,” Wood tweeted, possibly referring to the Chinese Communist Party.
Wood went on to make unsubstantiated accusations against “globalists like George Soros”, “elitists like Bill Gates” and the Republican Party.
She then claimed that Chief Justice John Roberts, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and Vice President Mike Pence would be arrested.
Pence has been criticized by some Republicans for not fully endorsing the electoral challenges thrown in favor of Trump. A lawsuit brought by Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert, attempting to allow Pence to only count Trump’s electoral votes during the congressional certification process, was dismissed in court by a federal judge. Mr. Pence’s attorneys asked that the case be dismissed.
One of Wood’s many losses included trying to prevent Georgia from certifying its results, turning over 16 electoral votes to President-elect Joe Biden. She also joined attempts to overturn the results in Michigan, another state that favors Biden, Business Insider reported.
