Who is David Power?

David Power of Widnes was handed over two years and four months behind bars at Liverpool Crown Court in May 2020 after admitting to theft, assaulting an emergency services worker and criminal damages.

David Power, 38, spat and kicked police after he was arrested last February following a robbery at a Widnes pharmacy.

“In the case of persistent thief David Power, he had caused alarm, harassment and distress for the residents of Widnes for several years prior to his recent stint in prison.

Arrest

A police officer saw the persistent assailant on the street two days later.

Before being arrested, he disposed of an item in a container, and a Stanley knife was later discovered inside.

Power became aggressive and abusive on the way to custody and repeatedly spat inside the vehicle he was being transferred into before kicking an officer after reaching the cells.
