The incident started a little before 1 p.m. On Tuesday, when the girls’ mother asked authorities to search a home in the 3900 block of South Walnut Creek Drive in Sand Spring. The mother, who was about 20 minutes from work, told police that she had spoken to David Kaser on the phone, who threatened to kill himself and her daughters.
The woman said she heard a gunshot while she was on the phone with her husband, followed by him asking, “What do you think?”
The woman explained that she had had marital problems with David Kaser and, although he had threatened in the past, she never came out of it.
Officers banged on windows and called the children’s cell phones, but received no response. When the mother arrived, she let the officers go to the house where the three bodies had been discovered. Kaser reportedly shot each girl once and then used the same gun to commit suicide.
His wife told authorities that they had had marital problems for months and that he had made threats before, but nothing that extreme. After a “domestic” incident, police went to the home in 2017, but no arrests were made.
She gave authorities permission to enter the house, where they found the two daughters and their father deceased.
