Photos from the couple’s big day show the bride dressed in a white gown and the groom in a navy tuxedo at the stunning Cutchogue venue. Other snapshots showed wedding guests, including members of the bridal party, posing next to newlyweds without masks.

Governor Cuomo’s office said at least 30 guests, three members of the venue staff and a wedding vendor tested positive.

On Monday, Governor Cuomo called the violations in the state, which was hit hardest at the peak of the pandemic earlier this year, as “detestable and irresponsible, not to mention illegal.”

“We have been in this pandemic for eight months and we simply will not tolerate businesses that put New Yorkers at risk. Those who continue to ignore the rules will lose their ability to serve alcohol, and I thank Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and his team for their cooperation in holding these bad actors accountable, ” Cuomo said.

Health officials did not specify which schools had been affected by the outbreak; however, five positive cases related to the event were found at Gelinas Junior High School, Mattituck Junior-Senior High School, Hampton Bays High School, Northport Senior High School, and Eastport South Manor. Junior-Senior High School, according to the NY Post.

The country club’s license suspension comes after the case was referred to the New York State Liquor Authority following an investigation by the health department.

NYSLA on Friday charged the site with “multiple counts of failure to comply with Governor Cuomo’s executive orders” and “failure to properly supervise its facilities.

In-person learning was also closed in several schools, with at least five positive cases linked to the event.
