Cleveland Meredith of Hiawassee, Georgia was among those arrested at the US Capitol site and charged with allegedly threatening to kill Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.

Meredith, whose full name is Cleveland Grover Meredith Jr., lives in the Atlanta area and allegedly sent threatening text messages the day and the day after the siege of the US Capitol, peppered with purple devil emojis. He sent a text message on January 6, 2021, saying that he was “stuck in Cambridge, OH with the trailer lights repaired, garbage.”
He later sent a text message saying that he was “just fixed” and that he was “heading to DC with shitty 5.56 armor-piercing rounds.”
On January 7, officials said he sent a text message that read, “I’m thinking of going to Pelosi C ***’s speech and putting a bullet in his head on Live TV.”
The recipient of the text message replied: “That comment you made about Pelosi, what the hell are you thinking about. Be realistic. ”
He replied: “Psychological warfare. I’ve been on the radar for a while, now (sic) I’m harmless. ”
In another text conversation, he allegedly said, “How much do you give me to ditch the Capital lawn (sic) with a big truck?”
Police said the person responded, “Don’t do it.”
Meredith allegedly later said, “I’m going to run over that C *** Pelosi while she bites her gums.”
Authorities said he later wrote: “Dead B **** Walking. I predict that within 12 days, many in our country will die ”.
Police said Meredith sent a photo of himself with a black face covered, and said he was going to walk around DC “yelling Allahu ak Bar at random.”
The other person later responded, “Cleve, be careful! I’m worried about you.”
He replied, “Lol, just having fun. My spy name is: DoubleODips *** “.
Meredith gave agents his consent to search her hotel room, truck, trailer and phone, according to court documents filed in his case. They said they found three guns, a Glock 19, a 9mm pistol and an assault rifle, and “approximately hundreds of rounds of ammunition.” She agreed to speak to FBI agents without an attorney and said he intended to arrive on January 5 from Colorado, but was too late for the rally. He said he knew he was not allowed to have firearms in Washington DC and placed them in the trailer, according to court documents.
He told officers that he was at a previous rally in Washington, DC, and also attended a protest outside the Georgia residence of Governor Brian Kemp.
Officers said they also found steroids and THC edibles in his hotel room.
Meredith Has Ties to an Atlanta-Area Car Wash & Social Media Accounts Link Him to QAnon
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Meredith has ties to the QAnon conspiracy theory. 11Alive reported that multiple social media accounts that they believe are linked to Meredith show “numerous posts” in support of the Capitol unrest, states President Donald Trump and QAnon.
11 Alive said Meredith has ties to the greater Atlanta area. Those links include a car wash business registered in her name. Court records in Fulton and Cobb counties also link Meredith to other business deals and list traffic violations.
Acting US Attorney Michael Sherwin said his office and associated law enforcement agencies will continue their investigations to arrest those responsible for the Capitol siege.
